Description
This is an acid cutting technique used in Venice from the 1930s.
The surface of the glass is covered unevenly with wax with a sponge. The object is then immersed in a tank full of sawdust soaked in a mixture of hydrofluoric acid. The result of the acid cutting is similar to the surface of craquelé frosting.
