Sodium silicate (soluble glass) is a transparent product, easily soluble in water, which is used widely in many industries. The greatest quantity is used as dishwashing detergents but it is also used, in the form of appropriate mixtures, in the production of artificial art stones; it is used as a hardener for cement, marble, sandstone, for the production of plasters and wall colours, for colours for printing; as a whitener in wool laundries, in the production of adhesives, enamel and matches etc..
